Ron Paul Edges a Surging Santourm in Final Iowa Caucus Straw Poll

Ron PaulRick Santourm has picked the right time to surge, but it wasn’t enough to topple Ron Paul who finished in first again with 1,051 votes (18%). Santourm finished 990 votes (17%).
Newt Gingrich fell from the last Straw Poll, but still managed a very close third place with 957 votes (17%).
The race stayed close all the way down the line with Mitt Romney at 16% and Rick Perry at 15%. Even Jon Huntsman and Michele Bachmann finished with a respectable 9% and 8% respectively.
